Menswear Forecast F/W 23
The Ask
Develop and predict a forecast for menswear F/W 2023 including street style, runway looks, and key items.
The Themes.
Focusing on the current zeitgeist and key trends of runway shows, my team and I were able to come up with a central theme for our forecast that revolved around the idea of "Living in Survival.” We explored themes emerging from life after COVID-19, police brutality, and climate change that heavily impacted a revolution in our society. This brought us to a central theme of “Dystopia” surrounding our lives.
After deciding our theme, we began to explore our signature colors and patterns that surround the eerie and uncomfortable feeling of dystopia. The colors range from earthy tones associated with durability to warm colors associated with climate change.

Prints and Details.
After finding our color ways, we were able to indicate which fabrics, patterns, and prints were trending and which symbolized the zeitgeist of Dystopia the most. Khaki and GORE-TEX became two very popular fabrics within designer shows that encompassed our street style. Duck Camo and graffiti were also two very popular prints. Finally, we were able to dive into all the latest runway shows and discover the best looks to describe our dystopian and revolutionary forecast. We took looks from Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, and more to help describe our theme.
The Outcome
This group project was a test of my research and collaboration skills. I learned exceptional skills of teamwork, leadership, and explorations into consumer behavior. Predicting trends is a new favorite skill and I loved being able to showcase all the work we put in together.
